Legacy Society & Endowment Fund

The Mission of the Endowment Fund is to provide a means by which parishioners may financially assist the Mission and Ministry of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, now and in the future.

Good Stewards: For generations, St. Margaret’s has been transforming lives by working at the intersection of community, spirituality, peace and justice. How has St. Margaret’s changed your life? From the children’s ministry to the music programs, from pastoral care to our calls for justice and action, are there ways St. Margaret’s has changed you? We invite you to give a planned gift to St. Margaret’s so the love of God can continue to transform lives for generations to come.

Gifts can be directed to where it is most needed at the time, the Ministries & Facilities Permanent Endowment or the Fred Swann Music Permanent Endowment. 

Purpose: The Endowment Fund helps ensure the preservation of the Church’s Godly mission and its ministries. We invite parishioners to help support the Endowment Fund by making a donation. The Church Vestry established the Endowment Fund in 2023. The Legacy Society was recently established to recognize those donors who include the Church in their estate plans.

Management and Investment: The Fund is overseen by the Endowment Committee and the Vestry, under investment policies approved by the Vestry. The Endowment Committee provides quarterly updates to the Vestry on Fund management and performance.

Donating to the Fund: There are two ways of donating to the Fund; either a current gift of any amount may be made payable to the Endowment Fund, or a donor can include the Fund in their planned giving or estate gifts. You are advised to consult with your financial advisor and/ legal counsel regarding this type of gift. Those who choose to make a planned gift will be added to our Legacy Tree located in the narthex, unless the donor prefers to remain anonymous. Click ​​​HERE for a Legacy Intention Form that you can print, fill out and turn into the address at the bottom of the form.
