Funerals
We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ we find eternal life. This is reflected in the traditional Episcopal funeral. We invite you to schedule a service for your loved one, including anthems, psalms, scripture readings, and prayers at St. Margaret's. When planning a Funeral or Memorial Service, click HERE for a complete listing of appropriate scripture readings.
St. Margaret's Columbarium
A columbarium is a sacred place set apart for the memorialization of loved ones lost, and for the placement and perpetual care of their cremated remains. A columbarium allows one to visit a final resting place in a serene environment. A single space for ashes is called a niche, of which there are 72 at St. Margaret's. A simple marker plate containing the decedent’s engraved name and dates of birth and death is affixed to the exterior facing of the niche.
Niches in the columbarium are often reserved during funeral pre-planning, or may be purchased by family members after a loved one has died.

St. Margaret's Pet Columbarium
Pets Share Our Lives! For most of us, our pets are considered part of our family. The loss of a pet is a heartbreaking experience, and choosing a final resting place for them is a very personal and sometimes difficult decision. Inspired by the ancient pet cemetery in the churchyard of St. Margaret’s Chapel in Edinburgh Scotland, St. Margaret’s Pet Columbaria are an ideal place for your pet’s final resting place. Our Pet Columbaria provides a beautiful serene setting for your beloved companion’s final resting place, on the north side of the church.
Your urn containing your beloved pet’s cremains is placed in a space within a niche in the location you choose. The niche will be covered by an engraved plaque with the name of your pet. We welcome you to be present at your pet’s inurnment in the columbarium and one of our clergy would be honored to offer prayers of gratitude. For your convenience, you may reserve a space for your pet/s at any time.
