St. Margaret's Choirs

St Margaret's Adult Choir
Sings for the 10:00 am service most Sundays September through June and for special services during the year including the very popular Lessons & Carols services. Rehearsals are on Thursdays with occasional special rehearsals scheduled throughout the year. New members are welcome to join this choir after appointment and audition with the Choirmaster.

The Chamber Singers
An auditioned group of sixteen to twenty-four adult singers who rehearse separately from the Adult Choir and sing for Evensong and for church at least once a month and for a variety of events at the church and around the Coachella Valley. Their music ranges from Renaissance motets, English Cathedral Music, to Cabaret style show music.

St. Margaret's Youth Choir
Rehearsals for the St. Margaret’s Youth Choir are on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 pm. The first rehearsal is slated for September 15, 2011. All kids from third grade and up and invited and encouraged to join us for this exciting new beginning.  Even if you can’t make it by 3:30 come anyway.  We want you to be part of our team! 

Mr. Craig Gahnz, vocal music teacher at Palm Desert Middle and High Schools, directs this choir.  With his vast experience in music, theatre, dance and drama, there is always something exciting happening in this choir! Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to help their children be part of this team where they will not only learn a lot about singing, but will also learn more about the church and the importance of offering their gifts for this ministry as well as the importance of being part of a team.  Yes, a TEAM!  Everyone is important in our choir and we offer the opportunity for each student to experience and show their leadership.  The choir sings in the church once a month at the 10 am service.
