A decade, a period of 10 years. If you wanted to buy a gift for someone’s tenth anniversary and follow tradition you would buy something made of tin, aluminum, or diamonds. In trying to think of the common denominator of those three gift options what struck me was that they all shine and give off a beautiful glimmer of light.

For me and my family, we are entering our 10th anniversary at St. Margaret’s. Since our time at St. Margaret’s I have watched my children grow both physically and in their relationship with the Lord. I have witnessed the beauty of helping those in the community that need to know that they aren’t alone in the world. I have been blessed with beautiful friendships. I have felt the power of prayer during sadness and sickness. I have forged a relationship with the Lord that is beautifully complex and full of forgiveness and love.

When I walk through the doors of St. Margaret’s I know that I have come home. I know that I am in a place where the Spirit is alive and well. I know that we are making the world a better place and I am so proud and honored to be a part of it.

I am so thankful to be a part of St. Margaret’s and I hope that more families and valley residents come to experience the beautiful glimmer of light that is St. Margaret’s.
