For your daily meditation, wander through the Hymnal to your favorite hymn, perhaps just to read the text. Look under the various topical indexes such as Christian Vocation and Pilgrimage.
God, our Creator, has given us our lives. We can say that in Him we live and move and have our being and that nothing can take us away from Him. He is our stronghold sure.
While the mighty God is unknowable, He wants all of us to come into His presence.
This hymn says it:
Let all mortal flesh keep silence, and with fear and trembling stand
Ponder nothing earthly minded, for with blessing in His hand
Christ our God to earth descendeth, our full homage to demand.
