Robert Dean has been a member of St. Margaret’s for 3 years. He is a retired realtor with 25 years of running a successful business with his wife. He was also a firefighter with the Marin County Fire Department for 22 years. He is a classically trained trumpet player and loves music. He now studies art, painting and enjoys photography and reading. He just recently celebrated his 45th wedding anniversary with his wife Connie. He was Senior Warden at St. Francis in Novato, CA and served 1 term on the Vestry at St. Paul’s in Palm Springs. His reason for turning in his Vestry Application was that he is responding to a call of service. He feels St. Margaret’s has made a major move forward and is committed to a vision that attracts and excites him.
Mary Ann Ekman has been coming to St . Margaret’s since 2003. Her and her husband split their time between the desert and Seattle, WA where she is a successful attorney with her own practice specializing in corporate, individual, partnership, state, and international tax along with business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and stock option planning. When she is in Seattle she attends the Episcopal Church of the Ascension where she is the legal advisor to the Vestry and is on the finance committee, greeters’ committee, and the organ task force committee. She is a first year EfM student at St. Margaret’s. In her spare time she likes to read, travel, and play golf. Now that she has joined EfM this year she is ready to take on a leadership role at St. Margaret’s.
Frank Jacobi-Lewis has been a member of St. Margaret’s for 3 years. He has a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Human Services from Mt. St. Mary’s College. He served for 3 years on the Academic Senate, 2 years on the Vice President’s Advisory Council and 20 years on the Division Council for his tenure as a full time professor. He has helped with the Newcomers Luncheon and just completed his first year of EfM. When Frank and his partner Tony became full time residents of the desert, they decided to attend SMEC one Sunday which happened to be the Annual Meeting Day. They stayed and listened to the annual meeting and have been coming back ever since. Because he feels St. Margaret’s has brought him back to his faith, he is answering the calling of service.
Elizabeth Kennedy has been a member of St. Margaret’s for 3 years. She is a realtor for Home Smart Professionals in La Quinta an owner of The Total Package also in La Quinta. She also was a past president, vice president, and 1st director of Soroptimist International in La Quinta. She is a firm believer of giving back to the community which she demonstrates at the St. Margaret’s Outreach Center as a case worker. She also was on the Vestry at Church of the Apostles in La Quinta. She considers the opportunity to be on the Vestry as a way to communicate and promote awareness of future endeavors for our church and the surrounding community and to do all the good works God has given us to do.Last updated: July 31, 2016 at 18:13 pm
