What do you do when you have a huge church in the desert with gigantic south facing plain glass windows, an organ that has to stay at a constant temperature, and an electric bill in excess of $100,000? The project was funded using a portion of the proceeds from the November 2013 auction of the household items of Gerald and Betty Ford, whose generous gift supported St. Margaret’s, the Betty Ford Center, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley.
