Columbarium & Memorials
Columbarium (Funerary Vaults)
In 1999, St. Margaret's Episcopal Church established a Columbarium Committee which was charged with creating an attractive, affordable and appropriate resting place for the remains of parishioners on the St. Margaret's campus. With Vestry Approval and with the pastoral guidance of the clergy, the a series of funerary vaults, known as a Columbarium, are installed on the south wall of the Karns Parish Hall, facing the church and Memorial Garden. St. Margaret's Columbarium includes a cascading water font behind a large, bronze cross.
The demand for these beautiful Columbarium vaults on our campus, which provides continuing access to family members and friends, was so great that in 2003, the Vestry approved an expansion project that created more than 120 new Columbarium vaults including a life-size, bronze statue of Jesus that would provide architectural balance and beauty to the project.
The completed project appears above. The early Columbarium is shown framed by two very attractive stained glass windows and the cascading water font behind the cross located to the side.

Memorial Garden
St. Margaret's established a Memorial Garden for those family members or friends who would like to place a memorial plaque in memory of a loved one. Plaques are made well-crafted brass, with high luster backgrounds and raised, polished-brass lettering. The offering for establishing a Memorial Garden plaque is $600.00. This offering not only provides for the crafting of the individual memorial plaque but provides funds for perpetual care to ensure that the Memorial Garden remains an attractive, peaceful place of prayer and remembrance suitable for remembering a loved one.
