After last year’s sold-out performance, Chanticleer returns to St. Margaret’s to present their remarkable and beloved Christmas concert. Hailed by the New Yorker magazine as “...the world’s reigning male chorus” and praised by the Los Angeles Times for its “luxurious perfection”, this GRAMMY® Award-winning vocal ensemble will bring an evening of incredible and exquisite Christmas choral music to the St. Margaret’s audience. With its seamless blend of twelve male voices, ranging from countertenor to bass, the ensemble has earned international renown as “an orchestra of voices.” The Boston Globe says “The singing of Chanticleer is breathtaking in its accuracy of intonation, purity of blend, variety of color and swagger of style.” TIME magazine puts it best ...“Elegant! Festive!”

The Desert Friends of Music is proud to welcome for a second
time the incomparable Vienna Choir Boys. Talk about longevity!
There aren’t many groups on today’s concert scene that existed
when Columbus was sailing the high seas or can boast having had
Mozart and Schubert as members. The Vienna Choir Boys have been
singing Mass at the Imperial Chapel in Vienna every Sunday
(except for summer vacations) since its inception in 1498. For nearly five
centuries, the choir has enchanted millions with their unique
charm and exceptionally beautiful singing. In concert they
present superbly entertaining programs that feature short
operettas, sacred works, and a broad range of secular and folk
music. They have performed worldwide and have in recent years
performed with the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony
Orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic and the Pittsburgh Symphony
Orchestra. Join us for a delightful evening of choral music,
youthful exuberance and exquisite sound. This is a concert the
entire family will enjoy.
